2O15

Apologies for this being rather late. I've seen a lot of reflective 2014 posts and not that there's anything wrong with that but I'm going to do something a little difference and write a post about my plans for 2015 instead! Throughout this post I'm going to put some photos of my highlights of 2014, cute right?

Skiing with my brothers (January)
Organising Charity Weeks in school as part of my Vice Captain role - I'm meant to be the Grinch here (March)
Attended my first ever wedding! (April)

Sooooo, 2015 is a HUGE year for me. I turn 18 in February; I will complete my first year at university; I will hopefully be living in a flat by the end of it with my lovely university friends; I'm off to Japan for three weeks as well as lots of other travelling like visiting friends in Madrid and Milan; my little brothers and cousin turn 16 woaaaah and I'll hopefully be going on holiday with my boyfriend for the first time!

I left school - me & my best friend & our leavers hoodies (May)
Last day of school - my year group (May)

I really want this year to be the year that I travel the world. I can't wait to explore the beautiful countries and cities of the world such as Tokyo, Madrid and Milan as mentioned. I'm hoping to return to Belgium (my country of birth) and do a sort of road trip which would be amazing and also tour the UK visiting friends.

London with my best friend Shaakirah (May)
Buckingham Palace (May)
2015 is the year that I want to make the most of my new found independence. I love my family but it's extremely strange coming home and being told what to do after living 4 months away. I want to become more involved in sectors of uni life such as writing for the university newspaper and become an active member of the badminton club. I just want to experience everything to the full, nothing wrong with that right?

Prom! One of the best nights of my life. With Shaakirah (June)
Prom with my fellow captains (June)

As I said, I turn 18. This is so exciting, I can't wait for all the opportunities this tiny new number will allow. Being 17 hit a new low when I couldn't see Gone Girl in the cinema because of my age.

The Commonwealth Games opening ceremony with my boyfriend, Richard (July)
I cut my hair short into a long bob for the first time ever (August)

I started university at the University of St Andrews! (September)

Of course, there are also the usual new year's resolutions:
Stop biting nails
Finally get round to completely Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award
Stop worrying about what other people think of myself
Wholeness: part of this is sadness, disappointment, frustration, failure: all of those things which make us who we are. Ask yourself, 'Is this contributing to my wholeness?' and if you're having a bad day then it is.

The States - Vegas (July)
The States - Death Valley
The States - Monument Valley
The States - Hollywood - Fun fact: My boyfriend is related to Bryan Adams ooh aah (July)
The States - U.S.S Midway, San Diego (July)
The States - Times Square, New York (July)
The States - New York (July)

Happy 2015 everyone!

Please leave comments about your plans for 2015, I'd love to hear them.
